Tilly Willis is an artist who lives and works in rural Somerset in South West England. She comes from an artistic family. Her grandfather was the renowned cartoonist H.M.Bateman and her father and sister are both successful practising artists. A passion for travel has taken her all over the world, particularly Africa. Her trips to Africa often inspire her and she paints the people and places she encounters. She also has family in Senegal, West Africa (Can you find this on a map?).

Would you change anything about any of the paintings? If so, what and why?
You are going to have a go at painting on of Willis’ work, so have a think about which painting you would like to draw. It’s for display – so it needs to be your best efforts!
Some of you are going to be creating a slightly different African Art – have a look at this link.
